oh the options...

So I've been looking into desks because I think we'd like to get a new, less bulky desk when we move in the fall. I like these styles, though some are too expensive. Which do you like? Any suggestions on where to look for simple desks?

Ok, so I think the last one is my favorite :)

special issue faves, part 2

Here is a lovely continuation of my favorites from the special online issue of MS Living... enjoy!

(... how was your day? ... how is your week? ok here. Only 6 more weeks until Austin's graduation. Hallelujah! ...)

we're thinking about getting a smaller, more minimalist desk when we move... this would be lovely...
oh how I wish I was better at growing things...
I made chocolate brownies tonight... too bad I couldn't make this!...
this stuff is just so darn pretty...
I love me some pretty dish towels ...
Ok, it has been far too long since my last anthro pick-of-the-day... today's pick is two of my favorite things put together: swimming and seahorses!

now for a change of pace...

I've been blogging all about my trips and tough decisions I'm getting ready to make... but today Austin and I tried to take it easy and stop freaking out about the future to enjoy our Saturday. I finally got around to downloading and reading my online extra issue of Martha Stewart Living. It was pretty awesome. Here is part 1 of my faves:

decisions, decisions...

I am very happy that I've officially been accepted into dance MFA programs at both Texas Woman's University and the State University of New York at Brockport. Now comes the tough decision... where to go!? I should hear about scholarships or assistantships by April... that will probably weigh in big on the final decision.

It is truly odd thinking that we will be living near either Denton, Texas or Rochester, New York by August... oh goodness. I've lived in the same 100-mile radius since I was 3... this will be strange but good for us. I'm terribly excited but terribly nervous. So much change... and all at once. At least I'm not in it alone and both of our families are very supportive.

Any thoughts on where we should move our lives to for the next 3 years!?

from coast to coast...

Here is a photo tour of my wonderful trip to Fresno, California and Brockport, New York...

One of my fave pro pics of the fresno dance collective (aka 'noco'):
Aust sent me pics of my furry babies I was missing:
We stumbled upon an Anthropologie in Fresno (we truly did- I didn't know there was one in the town until we were driving beside it):
On the plane ride from Fresno to LA:
The little town of Brockport, NY:
On our way to the Falls :) My first time in Canada:
We crossed Rainbow Bridge to this beautiful sight:
It was freezing... and wet...and gorgeous:
All in all, I visited many new towns, met many new people, had some great experiences, and now I'm glad to be back home. And I'm extra glad all of my stressful auditions are finished!

So it is late and I need to sleep. But I wanted to share with you some beautiful spaces. (I apologize for the small picture size... it was the best I could find.)

CalArts Severance:

Strasser Studio:
where I auditioned at Brockport

That is a preview. I'm going to load my own photos from the trip and give you a full-length, fulfilling blog post soon :)

In the meantime, congrats to my wonderful friend, Erin, and the welcoming of her & her husband Michael's new baby boy:

dancin' across the country...

Ok so I'm not really dancing all over the country (I wish!), but I'm going to Fresno, California for a Thurs/Fri/Sat concert:
Then Sunday I'm heading from CA to Rochester, NY to audition for SUNY at Brockport's grad program! I'm so excited, so nervous, and so ready for these auditions to be done!
So you won't be hearing from me for another week...

Erin, don't have your baby until I get back! :)
