Sizzlin' Summer...

Summer continues to fly right on by... I don't remember summer being almost gone quite this quickly when I was young. But maybe that is what happens as you age. Everything whizzes by faster and faster each year.

Tomorrow, August 1st, I am starting my whole life action plan (the idea came from whole living). I am going to be healthier, happier, and more productive. Mainly, I am going to try to manage my time wisely- getting priorities complete but not overloading my 'to-do' list. I'll give you updates on how the plan works out. I am excited!

While I still can, I am posting some inspiring images of summertime. Enjoy!

Anthro pick-of-the-day

Today's pick:

Too bad they are out of my size (out of most sizes) since it went on sale. Although even if they had it in my size, I think it is still a bit pricey for me to feel justified in making the purchase. Maybe I can make a dress like it!? With my new-found love of sewing!? Maybe I should make more than curtains before I try something that advanced… :)

Wedding Wednesday

Back in May, the 22nd to be exact, my good friend Tracy got married! I thought I would post some of the awesome pics from her wedding for some inspiration. All photos by Derek Green.

Rest in Peace, Charlie

My family's dog, Charlie, just passed away. He was an old fellow- about 14, we are guessing! He lived a long and happy life in the Jones household, and I am sure he was ready to go. He will be greatly missed- we loved him very much!

Anthro Pick-of-the-Day

I did it. I broke down and ordered these seahorse shorts when they finally went on sale. The sale price isn't as low as I'd like, but I think it was worth it :)

Yes, I did!

I MADE CURTAINS! And they were all 3 a success :) I am very proud of myself, in case you hadn't noticed. I used the new sewing machine Austin gave me (a bit in advance) for our 2nd wedding anniversary ("cotton"). Clever! Next I think I'm making a dog pillow. Here is my proof of authenticity:
