Today was my last Friday to get done at 11am... I've been teaching a little dance class so I didn't work until 4, but starting next Friday I'll work until 4. So instead of using my time wisely and packing (moving in 1 week!) I took the dog to play ball, watched a crafting show, skimmed the new issue of Whole Living, bought a swim tank on clearance at Target, and did some good ole' daydreaming...

Ballet + Wedding

While searching for ballet crafts to make for my dance students (with no success…) I found these lovely photos of ballet-inspired weddings:

Summer Escape Needed...

This is going to be the week from hell. It is so busy- and it is totally my fault for saying 'yes' to everything instead of an occasional 'no' when asked to participate in something. Here is a basic list of obligations this week:

00. Pack (moving in less than 2 weeks!)
01. Work (at Westminster)
02. Teaching (at Movement Innovations)
03. Sub Teaching (at Dance Phase)
04. Sub Teaching (at Victory)
05. Brother-in-law's high school graduation
06. Cousin-in-law's wedding
07. Good friend's wedding rehearsal
08. Good friend's wedding (playing violin)
09. Recital Dress Rehearsal
10. Studio Dance Recital
And sadly, I will be unable to attend my future sister-in-law's senior vocal recital due to conflict with my studio's dance recital. She is so wonderful, I'll be sad to miss it!

That is a lot of stuff. Boy I can not wait for it to be over at this point. I need a vacation... or at least a summery escape in my backyard... or France...

Arte Italica

Last night was my friend Erin's graduation party- fun fun! Her mother made a delicious mixed berry cobbler I desperately need the recipe for (Erin, if you read this- please bring it to RC!) and I enjoyed seeing Samson (their puppy) again, chatting with their friend Julie, listening to their eclectic playlist, and admiring Michael's awesome art.

Today, I found these lovely dishes via Gilt Groupe by Arte Italica. Aren't they beautiful!? Too bad they are still too expensive even on sale...

The joys of being an adult.

I have recently come to the realization that life is never going to 'calm down'. I've been telling myself it will for about 5 years now with no slowing down in sight. But I've learned to accept that. Rather than fretting each day about my lengthy to-do list or how the heck I'm going to complete certain projects by their deadline, I just work on things project by project and I make sure I have at least an ounce of free time per day to do something purely for enjoyment... such as:

. Blogging .
. Baking unnecessary cookies .
. Pet cuddling (maybe a little husband cuddling) .
. Magazine reading (such as Dance, Martha Stewart Living, Body + Soul, or Afar) .
. Anthropologie-oogling .

And so on... here are some of my recent free time finds:

I absolutely love...

... the opening song for this blog. I'm not sure what it is about it, but I love it.
